Admin Observation-School Goals

Goal: To increase the number of students proficient on Interims 1 and 2 by 5% from the 2018-19 school year in both ELA (55%and 57%) and math (48% and 51%) through personalized instruction (workshop).

The admin team began “workshop” observations this week. We focused on the indicators of Differentiated Planning and Personalized Instruction. We will continue to observe workshop for the next two weeks. Our purpose for observing your workshop is to support you with our school goal. Please see any member of the admin team if you have questions about the expectations.

Progress Reports

Parents will be viewing their child’s progress report on the Parent Portal on October 10. As a part of our Green School initiative, we will not be printing progress reports. Please make sure that you have a true representation of their child’s academic progress by having enough grades entered by October 10.

Attendance

Congratulations to Ms. McNulty and Miss Lumbardo’s homerooms for having four days of perfect daily attendance and spelling the word “here.” Please continue to keep me informed when your homeroom spells a word.

November 1

On November 1, we will be hosting Fall Regionals for K-2 teachers from 19 NHA schools. That will be approximately 225 people visiting our wonderful school.

Core Values

We use our Core Values as a way to achieve our College Readiness Goal. One of the Core Values is to make our school the best choice for parents and students. Have you found a way to form partnerships with your parents? Do they know how they can help their child to succeed?

What are some of the things that you do to involve parents? I would love to share the list with your colleagues.
