Intent to Return

Believe it or not, the time has come to think about next school year!  I love our team so much that I hope you all decide to stay, but I understand that various circumstances may prevent this from occurring. If you are not planning to return to Keystone for the 2023-24 school year, it will be very helpful for us to know now so that we have ample time to find a suitable replacement. Remember, even if you are not planning on returning to Keystone next school year, your 2022-23 benefits and pay will continue through mid-August.

If you are planning to return, keep in mind that the leadership team hopes to make final teacher placements by the end of May.  Ideally, teachers will be placed in their desired position, but sometimes changes are necessary to best meet the needs of our students.

Please click here to complete the form by Wednesday, May 3. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak with me as soon as possible regarding your plans for next year.

Welcome to the Team

We would like to welcome Alicia Searles to our team! She is our new intervention paraprofessional. She starts on Monday. If you see her in the hallway, please give her a warm Keystone welcome!

PLC Meeting

Our final “Meet with Other Grade Levels” PLC is Tuesday. This PLC was designed based on your feedback and desire to meet with other grade levels to focus on a particular standard and/or topic.

Based on your feedback, a few suggested that we allow the groups to bring questions to the meeting that can be discussed with the group. You Spoke. I Listened. The last 20 minutes have been designated for open discussion. Please note that your questions must be centered around your instructional focus. It’s important that we stay on topic even during open discussion.

See this table for your group and location.

We hope this time together has provided you with multiple opportunities to share best practices and brainstorm innovative ways to improve learning and drive student achievement.

Professional Development

As you know, the leadership team used your feedback when designing our ½ day PDs this school year. We are using our ½ day PD on Wednesday for professional development AND additional prep/planning time. You will spend the first hour and a half going through instructional content. The second hour and a half you can prep/plan at your discretion. However, all staff must remain in the building until 3:15 PM.  See the schedule here.

We hope the additional 6 hours of prep that our half days provide reaffirm that “you matter!” As you know, the leadership team loves using your feedback to make our school better!

COVID Team

As part of our ESSER grant, we are required to have a COVID team. The COVID team will meet to formally review and analyze stakeholder input and use the information from the data analysis in the creation/modification of our school’s ESSER budget and write a summary of findings.

If you are interested in being a part of our COVID team, please let me know by Tuesday, April 25.

ABCD Goals

Congratulations to Ms. Robinson’s class for spelling the word “PRESENT” and Ms. Jordan’s class for spelling “HERE!”

I love that we are still striving to achieve our attendance goals, even as we approach the end of the school year.
