One of our new EOY expectations for postcards and grade level welcome letters is to share/encourage summer learning opportunities beyond Lexia and Dreambox. This is important because only those students enrolled in Keystone’s summer learning program can take home their Chromebooks.
Two recommendations that I found besides the local libraries are:
1. Barnes and Noble offers students an opportunity to earn a
free book with their Escape into Reading program. You can access information
here.
2. There are also opportunities for students
to explore local museums for free. Click here for a list of
museums and dates.
Do you have any other summer learning suggestions? Those who
share resources will receive a small token of appreciation.
