P/T Conferences

Please click here for a reminder of our expectations pertaining to discussing students’ academic performance, attendance, retention, and scheduling.

As a reminder, all salary staff are expected to stay until 8:00 pm on Thursday. On Friday, staff may do their virtual conferences from home, as long as you have enough time to make it there without blocking out more than 30 minutes. The earliest time that you may leave the building is 11:45. The PTO will be providing a meal on both days—see the menu below.

P/T Conferences

One of our Core Values is “Make our schools the best choice for parents and students.” Thank you for doing this EVERYDAY, especially as we prepare for P-T conferences next week. Don’t forget to reference my email regarding our expectations for discussing students’ academic performance, attendance, retention, and scheduling.

As a reminder, all salary staff are expected to stay until 8:00 pm on Monday and 4 PM on Tuesday, even if your last conference ends before those times.

Staff must be in professional attire both days. No dress down passes or comfy passes may be used when meeting with families on Monday nor Tuesday.

P/T Conferences

As a reminder the last day for parents to sign up for conferences has past. You will need to assign a time for any student who hasn’t signed up by November 18

In addition, our wonderful PTO has selected the menu for P/T conferences (see below).

PT Conference Reminders

As a reminder, all parent-teacher conferences communication must be sent this Wednesday at 8 AM. It’s imperative that you schedule it to avoid not sending this on time. Please click here for directions.

Stacey Reed will send a copy of the contract and the sign-in sheet that should be used.  Please put your name on the sheet and submit completed sheets to Stacey Reed after your last conference is held.

As we start to prepare for Parent-Teacher Conferences, please click here for instructions on how to create the sign-up communication in School Connect.

As a reminder, this communication needs to be sent out on November 1 at 8 AM. You will need to schedule this post to ensure everyone’s goes out at the same time (see slide #8 of PowerPoint). This will assist our families with multiple children.

On Friday, staff may do their virtual conferences from home if you have enough time to make it there without blocking out more than 30 minutes. The purpose of the virtual conferences is to meet the diverse needs of our families, so I don’t want to circumvent our efforts by staff not being available because they are trying to make it home.

Our wonderful PTO will be providing a meal on both days.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Our conferences on Tuesday are virtual. Staff may conduct Tuesday’s virtual conferences from home as long as you have enough time to make it home without blocking out more than 30 minutes. The purpose of the virtual conferences is to meet the diverse needs of our families, so I don’t want to circumvent our efforts by staff not being available because they are trying to make it home.

In addition, our wonderful PTO will be providing dinner (chicken, ham, mac and cheese, etc.) on Monday and a grab and go box lunch on Tuesday.

Conference Meals

For conferences, our PTO will be providing a nacho and baked potato bar on Thursday for lunch/dinner. In addition, there will be broccoli cheese, turkey chili, and chicken and wild rice soups from Panera on Friday for you to grab and go.

We are extremely spoiled by our PTO! Please make sure you say thank you when you see them next week working the book fair.

Report Cards

In preparation of P-T Conferences, please make sure to print report cards and send them home Wednesday, March 9. Sending home report cards prior to conferences allows families an opportunity to process their emotions before meeting with you. This will help the conversation be informed and targeted.

Parent-Teacher Conferences Follow-up

Please turn in your Conference Attendance Form to me by Friday, December 3.

Also, if you discussed retention at conferences, please make sure that you send me your list by Friday, December 17 so that I can enter those students’ names into MyNHA as possible retention candidates.
