Over the past three
months, team leaders and the leadership team have intentionally sought your feedback, reflected on our current
practices, and discussed how we can better support you in managing student
behaviors.
As a result of this
work, we created a new ABCD analysis form to
better equip you to identify patterns and understand triggers before moving to
a Behavior Motivation Analysis (BMA).
Our new ABCD form
provides a structured way to document:
· A – Antecedent: What happened immediately before the behavior?
· B – Behavior: What did the student do?
· C – Consequence: What happened as a result of the student’s behavior?
· D – Discipline: What adult action was taken in response to the student’s behavior?
Completing the ABCD
analysis for repeat offenders ensures that when you move to a BMA, you are working from patterns and
facts. The form also allows you to track multiple incidents in one place,
making trends easier to identify.
You can access and
download the new ABCD form here. If you need assistance with completing the form,
you can use these step-by-step instructions.
We know that
addressing repeat offenders can be challenging, and we are committed to
equipping you with practical tools that make this work clearer and more
manageable.
