Are you ready to POP into Keystone’s Annual March Madness? This year, it’s all about Faygo!
On Wednesday,
you’ll receive your official Faygo March Madness tournament bracket in your
mailbox. Before you make your picks, you’ll have the chance to taste all of the
flavors to make an informed decision.
To participate,
complete your entire bracket by choosing the flavor you believe will reign
supreme. Once you’ve crowned your champion, make a copy of your completed
bracket and turn it in to Jorvonna no later than noon on Friday, March 13.
Beginning
Thursday, March 19, two competing Faygo flavors will face off daily in the
lounge. Grab one of each, cast your vote, and help decide who advances. Daily
winners will be announced based on staff votes.
Over the course
of a week and a half, we’ll battle it out to determine Keystone’s ultimate
Faygo champion. The final winner will be revealed on Monday, March 30.
If you select
the winning flavor, you win! If multiple brackets correctly predict the
champion, the tiebreaker will go to the person who accurately predicted the
most daily winners throughout the tournament.
Brackets ready.
Flavors chilled. Let the battle fizz on!
I will be out of the
building on Tuesday and Wednesday attending NHA’s Annual March Principal
Meeting. Stacey will serve as Acting Principal on Tuesday, and Tameka will
serve as Acting Principal on Wednesday.

difference.
Linsey,
Cayla, Jen D, Ellen, and Kathleen for providing
creative assembly ideas.
Teri,

Please click here for a reminder of our expectations pertaining to discussing students’ academic performance, attendance, retention, and scheduling.
As a reminder, all salary staff are expected to
stay until 8:00 pm on Thursday. On Friday, staff may do their virtual
conferences from home, as long as you have enough time to make it there without
blocking out more than 30 minutes. The earliest time that you may leave the
building is 11:45. The PTO will be providing a meal on both days—see the
menu below.
Utilize our approved
2026-27 school calendar here to help you plan for the summer and next school
year. Please note that additional events will be added over the summer and
throughout the school year. Please do not share this with families yet, I am
waiting for NHA to post it to our school website.
The PTO is planning
to hold their annual schoolwide assembly and they are seeking your feedback. Is
there a specific assembly you’ve heard of that you would like to see brought to
our school, or is there a particular topic you think would be fun and engaging
for our students? This is intended to be a fun reward for the students.
In previous years,
they hosted Basketball Bob and The Rock Band. Both assemblies
delivered positive messages that aligned with our moral focus virtues. If you
have any ideas for this year, please share them by completing this survey by Tuesday, March 3.
Stacey Ramirez for everything you did to make Leadership Appreciation Week the best we’ve ever had. You organized the entire week from start to finish, thoughtfully planning every detail. From coordinating the decorations to organizing the daily gifts, your attention to detail was amazing. I especially appreciate the communication you sent to each grade level to create a recognition schedule—making each day a meaningful and unexpected surprise. Because of you, we truly felt valued, celebrated, and appreciated all week long.
Tracy
for all the wonderful activities you
planned for the leadership team. As I mentioned before, it’s very clear that a
great deal of time and thought went into this week. I am so grateful that you
care enough about the leadership team to make our week full of exciting
activities that tapped into our competitive spirit.
Flo
and Theresa for the
beautifully curated self-care basket. Every item — from the bath salts and eye
masks to the body wash, scrub, face mask, lip balm, and candles — felt like an
intentional reminder to slow down and take care of myself. It was such a
thoughtful and comforting gift.
Mandy
and Kim B the overflowing gift
basket was incredibly generous and full of delightful surprises. From the cozy
pajamas and blanket to the shower cap, journal, pens, hair clip, mug, and so
much more, every item felt carefully chosen. I especially loved how each gift
was individually wrapped — it made opening everything even more fun, like
multiple little surprises within one big one.
Megan
and Lisa for the
sunshine-filled yellow basket! I absolutely loved the bright and cheerful
theme. From the flowers and soap to the dish towels, chocolate-covered treats,
fuzzy socks, chips, cookies, candy, water bottle, notepads, and pens,
everything brought such joy. I can’t wait to use and enjoy each thoughtful
item. I also cannot wait to see what color theme you pick next year.
Sandy
and Jessica W for the cards
you had the students create and the flowers. I appreciate your thoughtfulness.
Jessica
S., Emma, Ja’Rayl, Joelle, and Eric for
the creativity that went into making my gift. The chip bouquet was such a fun
and thoughtful surprise, and it perfectly captured my personality.
Christina,
Alex, and Sarah M for the beautiful
flowers and the Sephora gift card. The flowers brightened my space each day and
served as a constant reminder of your kindness. And the Sephora card? You truly
know me well — thank you for supporting my love of all things beauty!
Nikki,
Linsey, and Crystal for the generous
gift cards to two of my favorite places. The fact that you were intentional
with your store selections made it feel even more personal and thoughtful. Your
kindness gives me something special to look forward to, and I can’t wait to
treat myself and think of you while I do.
Cayla,
Courtney, Monique, Falak, Teri, Kathleen, Amy, Aimee, and Danielle for the incredibly thoughtful basket
that felt so personalized. From my favorite snacks to the gift cards to all the
places I love, it was clear how much care went into selecting everything.
Ja’Rayl for taking the initiative to sweep the floor when there
wasn’t a custodian. Even though it added extra work and interrupted your
instruction, I truly appreciate your positive attitude.
Stefanie for coming in early to support the front office when
there was only one person on duty. Your willingness to jump in and help made a
big difference and ensured the office ran seamlessly.
Deb,
Stefanie, Kim J, Stephanie, Taylor, Stacey Reed, Stacey Ramirez, Tameka, Sally,
and Robyn for the Kindle and
Yeti! You’ve officially upgraded my travel game. A good book and tea in hand is
my idea of first-class luxury, and you made it happen. I’ve been wanting a
Kindle for so long, so thank you for saving my wrist in the process.
Jen
S for putting the biggest smile on my
face with the cartoon picture of me and the beautiful candle. I laughed so hard
seeing myself like that—it was such a creative and thoughtful surprise! You
truly know how to make someone feel special.
Jen
D for thinking not only of me, but of
the person who mean the most to me. The fact that your gift was an extension of
that speaks volumes about your heart and thoughtfulness. It meant more than you
know.
Jane,
Ellen, Cindy, and Andria for the Sephora
gift card. It truly means so much that you chose something so thoughtful and
personal. You know how much I love that place, and I’ve had a perfume on my
wish list for quite some time—now I finally get to treat myself because of you.
I’m so grateful for your kindness and for knowing me so well.
Cecelia,
Gloria, Danielle, and Robyn P for such a
thoughtful and meaningful gift. Sephora may be my happy place, but what truly
made this special was knowing it came from all of you. It means so much that
you took the time to choose something you knew I would genuinely love. Your
kindness and generosity truly touched my heart, and I’m so grateful for each of
you.
Mark,
Diane, and Lynne for the beautiful
flowers and the thoughtful cards from all the 6th graders. It meant the world
to me to feel so surrounded by love and encouragement.
Yasmeen for the incredible self-care kit filled with so many
thoughtful and wonderful items. It was such a meaningful reminder to slow down
and take care of myself. I cannot wait to enjoy everything over Spring Break —
your kindness and intentionality truly meant so much to me.

Over the past three
months, team leaders and the leadership team have intentionally sought your feedback, reflected on our current
practices, and discussed how we can better support you in managing student
behaviors.
As a result of this
work, we created a new ABCD analysis form to
better equip you to identify patterns and understand triggers before moving to
a Behavior Motivation Analysis (BMA).
Our new ABCD form
provides a structured way to document:
· A – Antecedent: What happened immediately before the behavior?
· B – Behavior: What did the student do?
· C – Consequence: What happened as a result of the student’s behavior?
· D – Discipline: What adult action was taken in response to the student’s behavior?
Completing the ABCD
analysis for repeat offenders ensures that when you move to a BMA, you are working from patterns and
facts. The form also allows you to track multiple incidents in one place,
making trends easier to identify.
You can access and
download the new ABCD form here. If you need assistance with completing the form,
you can use these step-by-step instructions.
We know that
addressing repeat offenders can be challenging, and we are committed to
equipping you with practical tools that make this work clearer and more
manageable.
We look forward to
spending the day with you at our Regional PD as we continue deepening our
understanding of the assessment cycle and workshop model.
You can click here to view the full agenda.
Please note that
attendance is required for salaried staff only.
Tracy
for taking the time to make cookies
for the staff. Your thoughtfulness knows no bounds.
Sandy for decorating my office with flowers. Your kindness created
such a welcoming and uplifting space.
Stacey
Ramirez for a successful attendance audit!
Your organization and diligence truly paid off.
Steve
for the donuts! Small gestures like
this go a long way and start my day on a positive note.
Yasmeen
for cooking lunch for your team and
including me. I was so impressed with your talent as a chef. The care you put
into bringing everyone together did not go unnoticed, and it truly meant a lot
to be included.
Tracy
for having your team set up the lunch
tables—twice! Thank you for always being willing to help out the leadership
team. We know we can always count on you.
Jessica
S. for creating all of the
parent-teacher conference sign-ups. Your organization and efficiency help
everything run smoothly for our families and staff.
Sandy
for stepping in to sub in
kindergarten. Your flexibility and support ensure our scholars continue
learning without missing a beat.
Teri for having your students create hearts and placing them
on my door. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a wonderful welcome back to be
greeted with. Seeing those hearts truly brightened my day.
Sally for enhancing my ABCD analysis form with dropdown options
and other improvements on such short notice. You turned a basic form into a
user-friendly tool for teachers that will benefit our students. I really
appreciate your expertise and support.
Sally
for being the acting principal while
I was away. Your leadership ensured everything ran smoothly in my absence.
