Fall Staff Engagement Survey

Our fall staff engagement survey will be coming out on Monday. Please remember that the multiple-choice questions are about Keystone; even if it says NHA. We will be discussing the survey further during our staff meeting on Tuesday. We appreciate the feedback and are committed to making our school a great place to work. We hope you are highly satisfied! :)

A-CAP

We will be running our first truancy attendance report on October 29 for those students who have missed 10% (4 days) of the school year so far. Per our attendance policy, Attendance Correction Action Plan (A-CAP) meetings will be scheduled. It’s critical that you have been contacting families that had two and four absences. If you haven’t, it could hinder us from putting those students on an A-CAP.

A-CAP meetings are our reactive response to attendance issues. We have been striving to be proactive with attendance (perfect attendance assembly/reward, classroom rewards, and teacher contact). All of these are proactive approaches to reduce/avoid A-CAPs.

Something to think about. How would your students respond to this question “When I’m absent someone in the school misses me?” Studies have shown that when students have school connectedness, absences decrease tremendously. How can you make sure that your students know that you miss them when they are absent?  We appreciate all your proactive efforts.

Staff Meetings

As I mentioned at our April 9, 2019 staff meeting and during August PD, all Tuesdays are reserved for school meetings.

We try to consider “work-life balance” and only have after school meetings twice a month, but the other Tuesdays should be available for rescheduled and/or additional meetings.
