Our PD on March 8 will go from 12:00-3:30. We will be providing lunch from 11:30-12:00 in the staff room and starting promptly at noon with our assessment presentation in the gym. All staff members, including paraprofessionals need to attend. I look forward to learning and growing with you.

As we continue to monitor student discipline, there will be times when you will have to investigate a behavior incident to determine the validity and level of severity (level 2 or 5). To ensure we are providing due process to all students and handling these situations with care, please use the document below for best practices. Moral Focus

Our moral focus virtue for March is encouragement. It’s also Women’s History month. How can you connect both? It’s important to expose your students to women who have encouraged positive change in our history. In honor of Women’s History Month, I would like to recognize Rachel Louise Carson, an American marine biologist, author, and conservationist who is credited with advancing the global environmental movement. Carson warned of the perils of pesticide use, sparked a grassroots green movement and encouraged others to join her in the overhauling of our national policy on pesticides. Her work has saved countless lives — furred, feathered, finned, and human.

In-Person Conference Winner

I appreciate everyone going above and beyond to conference with Keystone parents. We had one staff member who achieved 100% in-person conferences by the deadline. Congratulations to Sheila Montri! Please see me for your jean pass and lunch order. Thank you to everyone for your efforts!

Voice of the Parent Survey

Our Voice of the Parent survey goes from March 4-31. I informed parents in our Keystone Comments newsletter that each class that has 100% completion will receive a free jeans day. Please encourage your families to complete the survey.

Shout Out

Anne, Monique, Teri, Jill, Stacey, Michelle M., Diann, and Stephanie for the wonderful personal gifts that you gave for Administrator Appreciation Week. Your thoughtfulness meant a lot!

Keystone teachers who had his or her students make me cards, pictures, posters, etc. It was so great to read the encouraging messages from our students.
