School Visit

Our math and ELA specialists from NHA’s Curriculum & Instruction (C & I) team, along with our DSQ, Special Education Supervisor, and School Leadership Development partner are coming to visit our school on Thursday, September 4 from 8:30-2:45.

The purpose of their visit is to determine how they can support teachers and deans with the following instructional practices:

  • Creating a safe and supportive learning space 
    • Greeting, class contracting, positive behavior system, CHAMPs, etc.
  • Uphold the structure of the content block
  • Engage in basic lesson planning and preparation 

We have notified those teachers who will be observed, however, if you see them around our school, please give them a warm Keystone welcome.

School Visits

I am a mentor to 5 NHA principals. Two of them will be visiting our school this Tuesday (10/15) and the others will be here on Tuesday, October 22. They will spend the day shadowing me. I’ve bragged so much about our school culture that they are looking forward to observing Keystone in action.

C&I Visit

The purpose of their visit is to determine how they can support teachers and deans with the following instructional practices:

  • Classroom Routines & Procedures
  • Instructional fidelity (using the tool, incorporating the lesson components, and following the lesson plan)

·        Student instructional engagement (students participating in discussion, taking an active role in learning, etc.)

·        Students being able to articulate and explain the learning objective (I Can).

We have notified those teachers who will be observed, however, if you see them around our school, please give them a warm Keystone welcome.

Visitors Tuesday

 


NHA is piloting a new Classroom Framework (evaluation rubric), and they are seeking feedback from Keystone’s leadership team before they officially roll it out in the 2025-26 school year. As part of this process, they will be conducting classroom observations on Tuesday. Those who will be observed have already been contacted. Please give them a warm Keystone welcome if you see them in the hallway.   

C&I School Visit

The purpose of their visit is to determine how they can support teachers and deans with the following instructional practices:

·        Instructional fidelity (using the tool, incorporating the lesson components, and following the lesson plan)

·        Student instructional engagement (students participating in discussion, taking an active role in learning, etc.)

·        Students being able to articulate and explain the learning objective (I Can).

·        NHA’s classroom culture goal (GREETING)

School Visit #1

 


On Monday morning, we will be hosting 6 middle school deans from our region, two C & I specialists, and our DSQ for professional development. They will be observing some middle school classrooms. Those teachers have been notified. Thank you for always welcoming our visitors. 

School Visit #2

On Wednesday, 18 NHA teachers from Ohio, New York, and the Canton region will be spending the day at our school for Dean Prep Academy. Dean Prep is a yearlong program for teachers who want to be a dean. They will spend the day in the 6th grade middle school science room with me and two other cohort leaders as we facilitate their learning. Part of the day, they will be observing some classrooms. I have already notified those teachers. Since, I won’t be available, Jamie will be the acting principal. As always, if you see them in the hallway, please give them a warm Keystone welcome.
