Glint Survey Action Plan

Thank you for your conversations last Tuesday around our Glint survey. As an admin team, we are committed to helping you achieve a better “work-life balance.” In an effort to reduce meetings,
         ·     Only homeroom teachers need to attend IEP, A-CAP, and IAT meetings.
         ·     We will NOT schedule more than 2 meetings per week during your prep. If we overlook this, please let us know so we can adjust.
         ·     We will try to communicate through email when possible, instead of holding a meeting. Did you notice that we did this with the Independent article yesterday? :)
         ·     To help with meeting timeliness, we will try to have more group discussions and have only one person per group share. This will help to avoid us talking about one topic too long but ensuring that everyone is heard.

Lastly, we will be looking at our school schedule to see if we can do anything to help with teachers’ lunches. If we are able to make this happen, it wouldn’t go into effect until the 20-21 school year.

Welcome to the Team

We would like to welcome Silviya Adams as our new lunch aide. She will begin on Tuesday.

Peer Observations

The admin team would like to offer peer observations to the staff. We plan to start these 30 minute observations in February. Please complete the form below by Friday, January 24, if you would like to observe a colleague in action. More information to come.

Core Values-Copier Codes

Please remember that according to one of our Core Values, we need to “act with discipline to sustain our academic success and financial viability.”

We just ordered 10 cases of paper which is 50,000 sheets of paper last Thursday and we are almost out less than a week later. It seems that we are going through 50,000 sheets of paper a week. That’s $1,200 a month just on paper. We cannot continue at this rate. Effective January 27, we will be issuing copier codes to all staff members in an effort to reduce paper consumption. Thank you for your understanding.

Admin Observations

The admin team will continue doing collaborative observations focusing on engagement strategies. We want to see how you are ensuring all students are engaged in learning. Please know that we will try to notify you in advance if the entire admin team is coming into your classroom, but it may not always be possible.

Do not hesitate to reach out to the deans or me if you have any questions about the expectations.

Data Analysis Cycle

We use our Core Values as a way to achieve our College Readiness Goal. One of the Core Values is to take ownership for the success of our students. One way to do that is to follow our Data Analysis Cycle. Before break, we completed our first full cycle and have started the cycle again.
